The Bureau of Standards Big Band is a 19-member ensemble that, true to its name, recalls the halcyon days of Ellingtonat The Cotton Club, Ella at The Savoy, and the Rat Pack at The Sands. Featuring the best of the big band hits from the
1930s through the 1960s, the band shifts easily between your favorites from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Benny Goodman and contemporary artists like Michael Buble, Natalie Cole and Harry Connick Jr. With charismatic vocalists Kat Cogswell and Warren Black, energetic emcee, director and trumpeteer James M Gregg, and the sizzle and soul of 16 of the finest musicians in town, The Bureau of Standards seeks to entertain with swingin’ music, levity and laughs, stylish stage presence and audience participation.
