Come celebrate with the Portland Lesbian Choir, under the direction of Mary McCarty, as we embrace the freedom to celebrate ourselves, those around us, life’s wonders, and the victories – small and large – along paths toward justice. This concert features the premier of a new commission by Portland composer Joan Szymko commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment. Accompanied by Colin Shepard. Assistant Director: Kim Horenstein. Where Do We Go From Here? 30 Year Anniversary – Postponed to the Fall

Of course I don't know when the postponed concert will take place. Oct 4 is a placeholder. But please don't mark your calendars for that date. I'm just wanting to keep this event on my events page. It will happen. It will be in the Fall. Actual date TBD.  Way back in 1990, a group of LGBTQ musicians decided to form a band and began giving concerts about twice a year and marched in the Portland Pride Parade.
