Simple Gifts, A Spring Recital

Saxophone and clarinet students at Grace Notes Music Studio perform solos, duos, and trios for the annual Spring Recital.

The title of Simple Gifts comes from the Shaker tune of the same name that will be played by a trio of clarinets. A trio of saxophonists will play Dona Nobis Pacem, a round or canon whose titles is Latin for Give Us Peace.

Performers range from beginning saxophone students in 6th grade to preschool and middle school teachers. It’s an all ages affair! You will hear music by Bach, Klosé, Mozart, Handel, Massenet, and John Williams in addition to the Traditional melody of Dona Nobis Pacem.
