Where do dead reeds go?

To the compost pile!

Remember, cane reeds come from bamboo cane. They are grown and harvested and usually stored for a couple of years to ‘age’ and ‘cure’ the cane before they become the clarinet, saxophone, oboe or bassoon reed you enjoy playing on.

So, don’t put those dead reeds in the trash. Put them in your compost pile or yard debris bin.
